UK Supplier Day - 4 November

A second supplier day, this time in the UK, has been arranged in November for U-Battery to share details about its reactor technology and form supplier relationships to facilitate future deployment.

The event is being held at consortium partner Urenco’s UK site near Chester on Monday 4 November, from 9.30am-4pm.

It will feature the following:

  • A presentation by the U-Battery project team on progress made and future activities;
  • Presentations on the future of the nuclear industry by Andrew Storer, from the Nuclear AMRC, and the Nuclear Industry Association;
  • Timelines for engagement with suppliers;
  • One-to-one meeting opportunities for suppliers;
  • Information on other Urenco businesses.

About U-Battery

U-Battery is an advanced/small modular reactor, capable of providing a low-carbon, cost-effective, locally embedded and reliable source of power and heat for energy intensive industry and remote locations. It is being developed by Urenco in collaboration with a number of supporting organisations and has received funding from the UK Department of Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy's Energy Innovation Portfolio.
